The Illies Community centre was purpose built in 2007. Members of the local community came together with the idea of buying a plot of land and building a hub for the community. Fundraising initiatives such as bingo, live bands, dances, raffles and buy a block scheme took place to raise the viable funding needed to develop the property.

The Illies Community Centre is at the heart of the community, providing events and entertainment regularly. At present, the centre supports outdoor and indoor training for children and adults, education, running in our 400m track, live events, offices and a bespoke gym.
